Coffee among the trees

Head towards the greenery for a single-origin cup at The Hideout, or plan a weekend visit to LCC’s little roasting workshop. Mui Wo rewards a slower coffee outing, with time to ask questions and settle into the island day.

Make the journey part of the coffee break. The Hideout pairs its leafy Mui Wo setting with single-origin coffees from local roasters, and the team’s interest in cultivation and roasting extends to bookable coffee workshops. Come for a cup with room to linger; explore a workshop if you want a closer look at the beans.

OUR ORDER

Ask the team to guide you through the current single-origin selection and choose a coffee around the flavours you enjoy.

Use the “Find the café” link for the venue’s own walking directions, including the approach near Mui Wo fire station. Closed Tuesdays. Coffee workshops require a separate booking.

Ringo Lam’s Lantau roasting project is a worthwhile detour for people who like the questions behind the cup. LCC roasts to order and offers a broad origin selection; use a tasting to explore your preferences before choosing beans for your own brewing routine.

OUR ORDER

Reserve the Sunday tasting, or arrange a roast-to-order bean purchase with the team.
